This four story masonry building was built in 1914. Bartlett Durham, the building's namesake, was a local doctor in the mid- 1800's. He sold the first four acres of land for a railroad station that would grow to become Durham in 1854.
Located in the center of Downtown Durham, the Bartlett is
close to many local attractions, including: The Carolina Theatre, Durham Central Park, Historic Post Office, Marriott Civic Center, Farmers’ Market, YMCA, and Durham Armory.
