| Built in 1950 by Leon C. Weaver, this two-story steel and concrete building was originally a paper warehouse. Characteristically, the building and its loading dock back up to the railroad spurs. The original roll-up doors have been replaced with glass roll-up panels to provide a panoramic view of Raleigh's Glenwood South area. Empire Properties redeveloped the space in 2003 for the current tenant, Peak Fitness (formerly Capital Fitness), which offers the latest equipment in Raleigh's only 24/7 health club.
