Press Release

Raleigh, N.C. – Sept. 10, 2026 – Rebellion Media is officially open on S. Wilmington Street!

House of Rebellion has become a downtown staple with curated vintage fashion from the 1970s through the early 2000s. Now, Alexandria has expanded the brand beyond clothing with a second storefront right next door.

Rebellion Media brings that same spirit of discovery to music, art and culture, featuring vinyl, CDs, cassettes, VHS, books, magazines, memorabilia and more — with an intentional emphasis on Black music and artists, while offering a broad collection spanning genres and eras.

We’re proud to have Alexandria and The Rebellion as part of the Empire Properties family and excited to see this next chapter come to life!
